Amir leads the SGE team, which he joined upon its formation in 2006. He currently sits on the boards of CashEdge and ESP Holdings, and previously served on the boards of Kashya (acquired by EMC), Prosight (acquired by Primavera), CorrectNet, Noble Biomaterials, and ScaleMP. Other prior investments include Crossworlds (acquired by IBM), Whale Communications (acquired by Microsoft), Xedia (acquired by Lucent), and Breezecom (ALVN).

Amir has more than 12 years of technology investing experience at firms such as TL Ventures and BRM Capital. He was also an investment banker at Robertson Stephens, where he executed public offerings and M&A transactions. Amir has extensive experience working in cross-border opportunities, particularly with Israeli companies that have sought U.S. investors to help them penetrate the North American marketplace.

Amir is a member of the management faculty at the Wharton School, where he teaches a second year MBA class on new venture initiation and implementation. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BS in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.



Jonathan Klahr

Jonathan joined SGE in 2007. He currently sits on the board of Wisair. His previous investments include Gigaspaces, Fraud Sciences (acquired by PayPal), Pando, and Supportspace. He has also worked closely with portfolio companies such as Whale Communications (acquired by Microsoft) and Prosight (acquired by Primavera).

Prior to working as a consultant to SGE, he spent seven years at BRM Capital investing in information technology companies. Before joining BRM, Jonathan was Director of Business Development for MarketBee, a start-up that delivered one of the first online enterprise marketplace solutions. He was also previously Director of International Marketing at Eshbel Technologies where he was responsible for marketing strategy and new market channels for its proprietary ERP System.

Jonathan holds an MBA from Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and a BA in War Studies from Kings College, London, where he was awarded Outstanding Student of the Year.



Vincenzo La Ruffa

Vincenzo joined SGE in 2006. He currently sits on the board of 29West and previously was board observer to Clean Air Power. Prior to joining SGE, Vincenzo invested in technology companies with NGP Energy Technology Partners in Washington, D.C. and EnerTech Capital in Wayne, PA. During that time, Vincenzo was involved in more than $100 million of private equity investments in early to late stage growth companies in the U.S. and the U.K. Vincenzo began his career in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Deutsche Bank in New York, NY.

Vincenzo's prior investments include Clean Air Power Ltd (LSE: CAP), Catalytic Solutions (LSE: CTS), Comverge (NASDAQ: COMV), Atraverda Ltd, The NanoSteel Company, and Renewable Energy Group.

Vincenzo graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned a BS in Economics with a concentration in Finance from The Wharton School and a BA in Classics from the School of Arts and Sciences.



David Tamburri

Dave joined the SGE team in 2007 as an Entrepreneur in Residence. He has more than 15 years of successful leadership and operating experience with a track record of delivering exceptional returns to investors. Over the past 10 years, he has served as a corporate officer in two companies that have raised $175 million total in public and private equity financings respectively.

Prior to joining SGE, Dave was the president and chief operating officer at Onward Healthcare, a Welsh, Carson, Anderson and Stowe sponsored provider of human capital services to healthcare providers. While there, he was responsible for the creation and implementation of the company's strategic direction and operational programs, as well as for the attainment of Onward's financial goals. Dave was formerly the executive vice president for Pinnacor, Inc., a provider of information and analytical applications to financial services companies and global corporations, where he managed the company's worldwide operations. Pinnacor completed an IPO in 2000 and was later sold to CBS Marketwatch. Dave began his career as a tank officer in the U.S. Army.

Since 2000, Dave has been a lecturer at Columbia University in the Executive Information Technology Management program. He is on the board of the Norwalk Emergency Shelter. Dave is a distinguished graduate of the United States Military Academy and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.



Deb Bardhan

Deb joined SGE in 2007. Prior to joining SGE, Deb worked for Goldman Sachs in their Algorithmic Trading group where he was responsible for designing and developing algorithmic trading strategies employed by institutional clients and proprietary trading desks for executing high volume, high frequency trades. Before joining Goldman, Deb founded GameCast, a high-tech broadcast gaming company.

Deb received his MS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he also carried out research in the field of Bioinformatics. He received his undergraduate degree in Control Engineering from the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology in Delhi, India.



Nishu Thukral

Nishu joined SGE in 2007. Prior to joining SGE, Nishu worked for Archstone Consulting, where he provided strategic advice to senior leadership of numerous Fortune 100 companies on growth opportunities in a variety of industries. Before joining Archstone, Nishu worked in Citigroup's Enterprise Commerce group, a provider of global payment solutions and information delivery technologies, and UConnections.com, an online information and ecommerce portal.

Nishu is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
