Tony Newcome is a Senior Advisor to Susquehanna Growth Equity, where he works with high-growth portfolio companies on technology leadership, team scaling, and operational excellence.
Tony brings over two decades of experience building and leading engineering organizations at scale. Most recently, he served as CTO of ActiveCampaign for nearly eight years, guiding the company through its Series B and C and overseeing technology, product, security, and IT across a globally distributed team. During his tenure he led the successful technical integration of multiple acquisitions, including Postmark, scaling both the team and the platform through periods of significant organizational complexity. Prior to ActiveCampaign, Tony held senior engineering leadership roles at Salesforce and ExactTarget, where he was part of the engineering organization during ExactTarget's IPO and its subsequent $2.5B acquisition by Salesforce - giving him firsthand experience navigating the complexity of high-stakes growth and enterprise-scale transitions.
Tony believes that great leadership principles apply everywhere - a view reinforced by his experience as the owner of Pizza Harbour, an independent pizzeria in Noblesville, Indiana, where the same fundamentals of team building, operational discipline, and ownership mindset that drive software companies determine whether a restaurant thrives or struggles.
He is also the founder of AnchOps, a restaurant operations platform built inside Pizza Harbour to solve the real labor and scheduling problems independent restaurant operators face every day.
